Often times the preparation time is more than half the battle. Clean sells.... as easy as this statement is to make it is often not easy to accomplish. Many of you have family and pets and daily lives that aren't structured to help you keep a home spotless so the new prospective buyer says, "I want to live here!"
Here are a few tips:
First, stop trying to do it alone if you have family. Assign age appropriate tasks on a daily basis. You can cut the work and stress down by sharing.
Declutter, this is a great time to sell and give away the items no longer used.
Freshen up the paint. If you can't do this yourselves due to time or experience I have resources for you!
Clean the carpet professionally. I have the best resource for this one. He has taken out everyday dirt, wine, juice stains, wear and tear from walkers and much more.
Sometimes the home you want to sell looks so good when you are done you change your mind! I have been doing this for 20 years so I have stories and I am here to help!
